Modification of the period of validity of the supplier’s declaration over the term for products having preferential originating status
Implementing Regulation 2015/2447 of November 24, 2015 has introduced changes to the period of validity of long-term declarations. Whereas under Regulation 1617/2006 they were valid for one year from the date of their extension, with the adoption of the new regulation, these declarations can be extended for a maximum period of 2 years. Another new feature is the possibility of extending declarations with retroactive effect for goods already released, in which case they will only be valid for a period of one year from the effective date.
